Introduced in 1928, California Wonder bell peppers became the classic bell pepper. California Wonder 300 TMR was bred from the California Wonder bell pepper to be resistant to tobacco mosaic virus. These bell peppers are blocky with thick walls. Averaging 6 to 8 ounces, the bell peppers start out glossy green and then turn red when mature. The California Wonder bell pepper contains high amounts of vitamin A and C. Perfect stuffing pepper due to its large size and performs well in cooler climates.
