Mountain Gold tomato was developed at the North Carolina State Mountain Horticultural Crops Research Station in 1990. Weighing between 8 to 12 ounces, these golden-yellow tomatoes are firm and smooth-skinned. Flavor is mild and sweet with a hint of acid. Mountain Gold is superior in disease resistance and it holds up better than other yellow tomatoes on the vine.
