Summary

San Marzano is considered the classic Italian paste tomato. Tomatoes are red and elongated with rich, sweet flavor. Their low acidity, low seed count, and firm pulp make them perfect for sauces and pastes. San Marzano tomatoes usually have tall vines that require staking, but this variety of San Marzano has short vines. The short vines will make it easier to reach the tomatoes. Tall vines or short vines, the tomatoes will turn out the same.
