Summary
Munstead is a compact and bushy perennial that grows 12 to 18 inches high. It's compact and bush type habit makes it an excellent ornamental hedge. Munstead is an earlier blooming lavender with beautiful lavender-blue flowers. Flowers have a wonderful, sweet fragrance. When used fresh, the flowers can be crystallized and used in cakes; when used dry, the flowers can be used in potpourris. Other uses include repelling mosquitoes and treating headaches and burns. Munstead is one of the richest in essential oils.
